    Examinations

    • Examinations are held in May/June in Hong Kong and are conducted by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority which has complete control of the conduct of an examination, including the relevant entry procedures, designation of the centre at which examinations will be held and release of examination results.
    • Registration as a student of the University of London International Programmes or as a HKU SPACE student does NOT constitute entry to the examination. It is a student's responsibility to apply to the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority in early December for permission to sit examinations in the following year.
    • For details, please contact the International and Professional Examinations Division of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority:

    The Award You Receive

    • As a student you register with the University of London for a University of London award. The academic direction of your programme – including the syllabus, assessment, learning resources and, where given, academic support – is the responsibility of a particular College, or consortium of Colleges, of the University of London, known as the 'Lead College'.
    • When you graduate with a degree, diploma or certificate from the University of London you will be sent two documents - a final diploma (i.e. the parchment you receive following graduation) and a Diploma Supplement.
    • The final diploma will indicate that you were registered with the University of London and awarded a University of London degree, diploma or certificate, and give the name of the Lead College which conducted the examinations. The University of London logo and signature of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of London are incorporated. The Diploma Supplement will describe the nature, level and content of the programme you successfully completed and include a transcript of courses taken and marks achieved, as well as the overall classification. It also provides further information about the role of the Lead College and method of study. It confirms that there is no difference between the standards of awards whether they are obtained by independently or face-to-face at a College of the University of London.
