In general, a University of London International Programmes student can choose to self-study or to enrol on HKU SPACE supporting tuition courses. However, for some Diploma courses, such as the Diploma in Economics and the Diploma in Law, students must attend the relevant course of instruction provided by a Diploma-teaching institution before registration as a student of University of London International Programmes.

Non-local Higher and Professional Education (Regulation) Ordinance
These are exempted courses under the Non-local Higher and Professional Education (Regulation) Ordinance. Details have been lodged with the Registrar and exemption numbers granted. The courses are of high quality and have international recognition. It is a matter of discretion for individual employers to recognize any qualification to which these courses may lead.
