Staff of the Culture and Media domain conduct teaching and applied research at the interface between cultural and technological change, addressing cutting-edge topics on the digital media and seeking a critical understanding of social, economic and creative dynamics in order to participate in academic, industrial and public debates.
The programme gives students a practical knowledge of how media and cultures interact and the methods used to examine them. It also focuses on the analysis of media and cultural products, their producers and consumers, the technologies used, the social and economic contexts in which they are made, and what they mean.
This programme provides graduates with excellent opportunities for further studies. They can go on to pursue a bachelor's degree at local or overseas universities in many areas, such as Media and Communication Studies, Cultural Studies, Creative Media, Comparative Literature, Language and Communication, and Social Sciences.
Our graduates have embarked on a wide array of careers, including marketing research, management and public relations in both the public and business sectors. A significant number of graduates have chosen to pursue careers in Advertising, Journalism, Publishing, and Media Management.
