The financial services industry has long been regarded as one of the major powerhouses of the economic growth in a society. The Mainland Government's "11th Five-Year Plan" has reaffirmed Hong Kong's status as an international hub for financial services, and full support will be given to the strengthening of the financial industry as the flagship industry in Hong Kong. In order to further consolidate and reinforce Hong Kong's position as an international financial centre, nurturing economic and financial talent is indispensable to Hong Kong's success.

Programme Aims & Features

This programme gives an overview of economics and finance theories and concepts. Through a vigorous training in economic and financial analysis, students will learn to adopt an integrated approach in understanding the global economy in the real world. Besides, much emphasis will be placed on introducing the market operation and the latest market development in Hong Kong, which gives you a practical understanding of the local financial industry.

Another distinctive feature of this programme is the comprehensive and broad-based curriculum in all major disciplines of business administration. In the first year of study, you will be equipped with the fundamental knowledge of all major business areas, including Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing. This not only enriches your horizon but also provides you with an integrated view of various business functions in the commercial world. In the second year, you will specialize in a study theme for a more in-depth training in that particular area.

Professional Recognition

Graduates will be exempted in the Professional Examinations of the Society of Registered Financial Planners.
