I was a full-time student of the HKU SPACE Community College from
2007 to 2009. I joined the Professional Diploma in Architectural Studies
programme after I finished my HKALE in 2007. The two-year programme
in HKU SPACE Community College was the first step toward my
professional architectural education. It provided me with opportunities
to feel, to learn and to experience the workings of the profession. The
programme provided me with a solid foundation in architectural design;
it also gave me a strong impulse to pursue further studies in my chosen
profession - architecture.
During my studies in the Professional Diploma in Architectural Studies
programme, I had ample opportunities to apply my creativity and
knowledge to all my work that I had accomplished. The workshops
and field trips also provided me with a lot of practical experience.
The programme taught me the important interconnectivity of
architecture, environment and human beings, and I learned the
importance of designing architecture that improves our lives and
respects environmental harmony.
I strongly believe that studying in this programme will equip one with
professional architectural knowledge, the mind of an architect and the
qualities of an all-rounded person. This would undoubtedly be a good
start for a promising future in the architecture profession.
I am now pursuing my Bachelor of Social Science in Architectural
Science degree in CUHK. With the strong knowledge base and valuable
friendships gained in HKU SPACE, I am fully confident of my success as
I continue my life-long architectural journey.

I started my architectural studies in HKUSPACE since I graduated from F.5. At that time my impression of architecture was just “building a building”. Throughout the three years at the College, I was enlightened with a new perspective about architecture. It should cover technology, history and culture. It requires creativity, sensitivity and respect. I learnt all these at the studio and also during numerous study trips, firm visits and social activities.
I am now pursuing my first architecture degree at CUHK. With the experience and knowledge gained at HKU SPACE, now I am much more confident to continue my exploration in the world of architecture.

I graduated from the Professional Diploma of Architectural Studies in 2006. I was immediately offered a position by a leading local architecture fi rm upon my graduation. The programme equipped me with the ability to work competently. I am glad that I learnt a lot of skills and knowledge such as CAD and professional practice during the two years with HKU SPACE Community College.

After my graduation from the HKU SPACE Community College with a Professional Diploma in Architectural Studies, I was accepted into year 1 of the Bachelor of Arts (Architectural Studies) degree programme at the University of Hong Kong. I am grateful for the experiences and opportunities provided to me during the two years of studies in the College. This programme allowed me to explore different aspects of architecture and helped me develop creativity and the spirit of innovation.

After graduating from the College with a Professional Diploma in Architectural Studies, I was admitted directly to year 2 of the Bachelor of Arts (Architectural Studies) programme at the University of Hong Kong. Like many other Form 7 graduates in the Professional Diploma programme, I had had no relevant experience when I started. I believe that the programme offered by HKU SPACE Community College provides an excellent opportunity for those who love architecture and related fields.
