This Programme has been designed with the objective of meeting the needs of a multi-disciplinary approach to doing business. Special emphasis has been placed on incorporating accounting knowledge in modern technology with financial information management.
This 3-year programme emphasizes both accounting and financial information management. It will train students to combine accounting with information technology in a multi-disciplinary business environment. It will help them to realise their dreams of acquiring professional qualifications in two prestigious professions, and thereby have wider career opportunities after graduation.
Students will be required to attend two industry project placements in Year 1 and Year 2.
Graduates of this programme will be exempted from 6 subjects in the Professional Examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Full exemption from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Certified Accounting Technicians (CAT) qualification.
Eight papers exemption from the Professional Examinations, The Association of International Accountants (AIA).
Four papers exemption from the Professional Examinations, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Exemption from the Accounting Technician Examination of the Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians (HKIAAT).
Graduates of the Information Systems Auditing Stream can take the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) exam which is the well-known audit professional certification.
Graduates can also proceed to the part-time Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Accounting Technologies) or Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree programme offered by the Curtin University of Technology.
Graduates are eligible for admission to the full-time top-up degree programme offered locally by HKU SPACE Centre for International Degree Programmes in collaboration with the following university :
