Shortly after I joined the HKU SPACE Higher Diploma in Business (Corporate
Administration and Governance) programme, along with four of my
classmates, I was invited to join the ACCA Hong Kong 2009 Business
Competition. Out of the 500 teams, we were in the final five teams and won
the best spirit prize, the award for the favourite team and the merit award.
The experience was valuable and I really gained a lot in terms of knowledge
in accounting, business proposal writing and presentation , communication
skills as well as how to work in an effective and efficient team. Through our
ordeal of intense competition, I realized that our winning of the prize was
the result of the College’s excellent environment for study and learning. This included very supportive teachers and programme team, advanced facilities
such as the HKU main library, ample study areas, etc.
I am finishing my first year now, and my experience in the College and
the programme thus far has been an enjoyable one. I encourage those
of you who are interested in business and management to enrol in the
Higher Diploma Programme in Business ( Corporate Administration and
Governance) as it provides many opportunities for me to excel not only in
general business and management skills but also in specialized skills such as
accounting, law, administration and corporate governance.
I am currently in my second year of the Bachelor in Information Management Programme in The University of Hong Kong. I was admitted directly to the year two after I had completed the Higher Diploma course in Business (Corporate Administration and Governance). The 2 years studying in HKU SPACE community College were really enjoyable and memorable. The Corporate Administration and Governance course is very useful as it consists of generic subjects such as Information Technology, Marketing, Accounting and Economics as well as specialism subjects such as Company Secretaryship and Corporate Governance and Ethics. This has enabled me to choose the discipline that I like in HKU. The teachers were experienced and very lively in their teaching, furthermore, they were very helpful and patient in guiding us in our studies. The College is equipped with the latest teaching gadgets and materials. The facilities and the high-tech classrooms provide an environment highly conducive to study. I highly recommend anyone who is interested to study this course.
