When I looked at my unsatisfactory results for the HKCEE, I strongly felt a need to switch to a different path of study in order to reach a higher academic level. As I am very interested in the computer field, I selected the Higher Diploma in Information Technology programme offered by the HKU SPACE Community College. The learning mode in the College is completely different from that in secondary school. The atmosphere is refreshing and the lecturers are helpful and friendly. I also met many good friends here and we worked well together in assignments and projects. We learned from one another with optimal
competition. I really enjoyed learning in the College during those two years and I have many good memories.
In 2009, I was admitted to HKU to pursue my further study. I met my secondary
school classmates in HKU again and they are still my classmates now! My study
in HKU SPACE Community College is definitely worthwhile and I believe I have
made the right choice.
I did not get a good result in either the HKCEE or the HKALE. It seemed that
hopeless for me to get a university offer, but this turned out to be untrue.
I chose to study for the Higher Diploma in Information Technology at HKU
SPACE Community College instead of re-taking Form 7. The programme broadened my horizons and helped me prepare for my further studies and future career.This programme is practical and useful in preparing students for pursuing studies at a university. There are lots of patient and sympathetic lecturers who are well-trained and professional. A number of them are currently working in the IT industry. They teach us whole-heartedly and help us build up confidence to face different challenges.

Studying for Higher Diploma in Information Technology in HKU SPACE Community College, I learned a lot, both the computer knowledge and about real life cases of the IT industry. Lecturers are so enthusiastic and professional in teaching that they helped me to increase my confidence in studying.
After my Higher Diploma graduation in June, I will pursue further studies in The University of Hong Kong. I would like to recommend this course to those students who allowed themselves to be left behind, but are now ready to continue formal study in universities. Learning IT in HKU SPACE Community College is the best choice I have made. I will miss you, HKU SPACE Community College!
During the two years in HKU SPACE Community College, other than acquiring professional knowledge and skills in information technology, I gained confidence to stay strong when facing challenges. I learned a lot from the programme, and the programme equipped me with the solid foundation required in my present university study.
I found the Higher Diploma Programme in Information Technology very interesting and practical. A high-quality teaching team and cutting-edge equipment from the programme enriched my professional knowledge and enhanced my practical skills. I am glad that I was successfully admitted to the University of Hong Kong for further study upon graduation.
At HKU SPACE Community College, I not only gained knowledge in computer networking, but also lots of practical experience. After I graduated with a Higher Diploma in Information Technology, I obtained offers from both the Hong Kong Baptist University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong to study in their IT related degree programmes. I chose to continue my studies in the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
