Colleges & Institutes

Internally, the School has a collegiate organisation. The wide range of part-time programmes (some 40 subject groups) is allocated among three colleges which are the College of Business and Finance, College of Humanities and Law and College of Life Sciences and Technology. In addition, the Institute for China Business has been newly set up to contribute to China’s development in executive education and professional training, and to enhance Hong Kong’s status as a regional education hub.

The School established the HKU SPACE Community College in 2000 to provide versatile, full-time, further education through its associate degree and higher diploma programmes. To date, with its nearly 6,000 students, the Community College represents the finest institution of its kind in Hong Kong. In 2004, together with the Po Leung Kuk, the School established the HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk Community College which now has some 1,500 students in its high quality programmes.

In 2004, the School also established the HKU SPACE Global College (Suzhou) in collaboration with the University of Science and Technology of Suzhou and the Global Edu Tech Management Group (GEM) to offer various associate degrees as well as Dazhuan programmes in Mainland China.
